I’ve learned it’s okay to be selfish. - May 5 ,2010

I got on the scale this morning and I am ecstatic!!! I have been eating more and splurging more but still really closely monitoring my intake. I have cut back to just working out at night. I have done 4 evening runs of 3-3.5 miles so far. I am not fast but consistent. I love this new body and new lifestyle! I have lost 187 pounds and in the back of my mind I want to reach a weight of 199.9 lbs by my birthday (21 days). I know I can do it!!! I don't feel the need to lose more weight but with toning I am still losing the lose skin and fat. It is a daily struggle but so worth it! I actually bought a few size mediums (8-10). I must say that was just CRAZY!!!

I have learned that it's necessary to be selfish when it comes to your health and fitness. I need to give myself the time I need to keep myself healthy so that I can give my very best to others.

I have not been able to do this on my own. I am so thankful for a very kind and patient husband that supports and encourages me and of course my Heavenly Father that gives me the strength to withstand the numerous temptations I face every day.
