I am posting on Facebook by Monday evening the results but from now on for those of you not on Facebook I will also post the results here.  The negative % shows a gain over Thanksgiving.  Don’t get discouraged.  We are in this together. 

Congratulations to all of us that were able to lose over the biggest “eating” holiday of the year.  I didn’t work hard last week with my eating but this week I expect to see BIG numbers on loss.  I have been eating so much better.  I hope this has been a good week so far.  Have a healthy weekend and I look forward to seeing your numbers on Monday. 

For those of you that are local…. It is so fun watching you shrink!  I can already see it in your faces and the looseness of your clothes.

There is still time to join us.  I have a few drop out and a few join this week.  You just lose a week of weight loss is the only draw back to joining late.  Money is DUE tomorrow.  Mail or drop it off at 1812 E Cedar St, Eagle Mountain, Utah 84005.  All money will be kept in the bank until  the end of the competition and not at the address listed.

A New Start to Healthy Eating

This competition I am doing is my way of crying out for help!  I have no intention of winning overall. I am so hopeful that someone out there needs this change as much as I did the first time I did a weight loss competition and that this will change their life. I will reach my goal and I will document the process every step of the way!  My goal will be lofty but attainable with a lot of hard work.  With my Savior’s help and the support of my amazing husband and kids I can do this!

This past year has been a battle with my food disorder.  I don’t know what else to call it.  I have an unhealthy relationship with food.  I wish I could just eat to live but that is not who I am.  I eat to satisfy every emotion. I have been overeating and binging terribly for the past year.  It started at Thanksgiving last year when I just wanted to eat normally for the Holidays.  Normally?  What was I thinking?  Even people who eat moderately don’t follow any rules at Holiday time.  This idea of just enjoying food for the holiday season put me on the road to self destruction. I did not too bad through the spring and summer but recently it has gotten out of control.

I have done a pretty good job keeping my weight under control with running a lot up until the weather changed but now the pounds have come on fast and furious.  I couldn’t believe the scale today.  Not water weight this time but true fat gain.  I did this to myself.  One bite of pizza at a time.  One cookie at a time.  I even drank root beer last week.  I haven’t had pop in over 3 years!  I am so disappointed in myself and to be completely honest I am a bit ashamed to admit where I am at. I have let myself down! I feel like I am letting all of you out there down too!

I have been looked to as an example of positive change and healthy living and look at me right now!  I am a mess!  I don’t want to stay here though.  I do desire to change and I will change!  The last time I saw these numbers on the scale was in the Spring of 2010.  I hope to NEVER see them again.  I will conquer this food disorder.  This time will be different!  I will keep on the right course with my eating. 

So where am I at today?

Just wait till my “after” pictures on Valentine’s Day!  I can’t wait to see the difference!  My goal is to lose 10%.  21.4 pounds in 12 weeks.  I will be 193 pounds or less by Valentines Day.  I haven’t seen that number since March 2011 so it will be a tough goal to reach but I know I can do it!  I WILL do it!  What will your goal be?

Join the Competition

I need some serious motivation to stop the overeating. I am still running and loving it but oh the FOOD!!!  I must stop this mindless eating or I will be back at 400 pounds in a couple years.  I will not let that happen! My waist has grown 3 inches in 6 months. EEEKKK! 
I am creating a change and so CAN YOU!!!
I know I am motivated by money and competition so let's do it together.
Healthier Heart for Valentine's Day Weight Loss Competition
This will be a 12 week healthy weight loss competition to begin or help you continue your journey.
The rules are NO diet aids, surgery, pills, ect. Good honest  healthy eating and lots of exercise.

Now for the money part. Each person will set their personal goal of how many pounds they want to lose by Valentine's Day. Your goal should be obtainable within the time frame and at least 5%. I would be happy to review your goal with you to determine what is a good number for you to work toward.
Everyone will pay in $25.00. If you reach your goal you get $20.00 back. $5 goes to the biggest loser. If you don't reach your goal then all of your $25. 00 goes to the biggest loser.
The more people in the competition the bigger the reward for the winner! All of us though will be winners as long as we reach our goal weight.
Weigh in can be done either by a photo of your scale emailed or texted to me or you can come to my home. FIRST Weigh in will be due by November 19th. Money must be paid by Dec 1st.
You may participate no matter where you live as long as you are willing to mail me your $25.00. Each Monday we will report our % lost by emailing me your numbers. I hope most of you will participate. I need all the motivation I can get to make it through the holidays!
Your weight will be kept confidential except you must tell me. Smile  I will figure out the percentage lost and report only the % to the group. 
I am so excited to be actively working on a goal again!!!
